COLD STORAGE:
This may be the best use of remote source lighting -- to locate a hot light
source outside the cold storage room and piping light in. This
provides suitable light levels in these rooms without adding any heat.
There is a great savings in energy with such systems. The project uses
a PLYLIGHT OLF tubes manufactured by Celsius Tech for a
project in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Fusion Lighting Solar 1000 is
located outside the room. The tube penetrates the 12" thick insulated
wall to provide illumination in the cold room. |
